When a contraceptive implant sends twenty-one year old Andrea violently insane, she must find a way to remove it before she does something that sheβll regret for the rest of her life.
feature film synopsis
Andrea is a poor, young music student who lives with her best friend and topless bar tender, Nadine. After yet another brand of the contraceptive pill gives her a scabies-like rash, Andrea allows her doctor to try her on a new form of contraceptive implant. At first it seems fine, but soon she begins to experience troubling hallucinations that cause her to alienate everyone around her. Despite her pleas, doctors repeatedly refuses to remove the implant, and Andrea realises that she is trapped with it unless she can remove it herself. This is no easy feat now that the implant moves around under her skin by itself or else disappears from sight entirely, but Andrea must find a way before she does something she'll regret for the rest of her life.
